Fresh, Local Ingredients
Much of the produce we serve is locally grown. Our potatoes, carrots, beets, cabbage and garlic come from the Lardeau Valley, directly below the lodge.
We work hard to source food which doesn’t travel thousands of miles to get to your plate. You will taste the difference in our fresh eggs provided by local farmers and the peppered bacon is legendary.
Après Ski
It’s been an epic day. You’re on the last pitch of Home Run, the lodge is in sight – what is that glorious smell?
It’s then you realize you’re famished and had better kick it into high gear to beat your cat mates onto the deck for Après Ski. You’ll find a crock pot full of hearty homemade soup and an array of appetizers which taste even better with a cold, local micro brew.
Home Cooked Meals
Dinners at the lodge are always special and you will enjoy something different every night. Favourites include magically stuffed rack of lamb, fresh wild BC mussels and clams, and cedar plank salmon. And because you can’t mess with tradition, your last supper is always a mouth watering bar-b-qued Canadian grass fed tenderloin.
Lunch on the go
Lunch is served in the cat between runs and consists of creative sandwiches and wraps with an assortment of fruit and veggies. A home baked dessert comes next with tea made from our secret recipe. Additional snacks are available any time during the day.
Delicious Desserts
Holiday time is dessert time and Selkirk Snowcat is definitely the place to cheat on your diet (with the vert you’re covering every day, you’ve definitely earned it!). Homemade chocolate lava cake or pear ginger cake with caramel sauce are too tempting to pass up, so why bother trying.
Hummingbird Coffee – Nebula Blend
Nebula is the special medium dark roast blend specially crafted for Selkirk Snowcat Skiing, on tap 24/7.
Every coffee bean has a story. The story contains elements of the earth on which it grows and the people who harvest it, process it, move it and roast it. Eventually this story flows into your cup – where we hope it becomes part of your fabulous Selkirk Snowcat Skiing experience.
