Imagine you’ve just skied your best day ever and you are standing at the top of the view slope looking at the lodge and you think to yourself, “What is that glorious smell?” It’s then you realize you’re famished and had better kick it into high gear to beat your cat mates onto the deck to find out what delicious apres ski treats await you today. You’ll find a crock pot full of hearty homemade soup and an array of appetizers which taste even better with a cold local micro brew.
Much of the produce we serve is locally grown. Our potatoes, carrots, beets, cabbage and garlic come from the Lardeau valley, directly below the lodge. We work hard to source food which doesn’t travel thousands of miles to get to your plate. Dinners at the lodge are always special and you will enjoy something different every night. Favourites include magically stuffed rack of lamb, fresh wild BC mussels and clams, and cedar plank salmon. And because you can’t mess with tradition, your last supper is always a mouth watering bar-b-qued Canadian grass fed tenderloin.
Holiday time is dessert time and Selkirk Snowcat is definitely the place to cheat on your diet. Dessert specials like chocolate lava cake or pear ginger cake with caramel sauce are too tempting to pass up, so why bother trying. You can always diet at home.
For breakfast you will taste the difference in our eggs provided by local farmers with happy chickens and the peppered bacon is legendary. Our special Selkirk Snowcat blend of locally roasted coffee – dubbed “the original snowcat fuel” is on tap 24/7. At the press of a button from our fully automated Saeco espresso machine, you’ll be shaking out the cobwebs in record time.
Prior to your arrival you will receive a health form and it is critical you let us know if you have any food allergies and or special dietary needs. We are happy to accommodate even the most sensitive stomach to ensure you have the best holiday experience possible.
We look forward to seeing, skiing, and feeding you…
